The height and mass of the new NEXON Magyarország Headquarters make the building monumental, while its special ribbon motifs enhanced by color contrast make it dynamic. All of this is in complete harmony with the modest colors and forms, so overall the building is characterized by restraint and clarity. It connects to the neighboring lower buildings with a smaller number of floors. An important design aspect was the floor plan, which can be easily adapted to different needs.
The new headquarters of NEXON 2000 Kft. in Hungary is located at the corner of Váci út and Juta utca, thereby fulfilling an advantageous, landmark-like urban role. In the immediate vicinity, an interrupted road overpass can be found, starting from the other side of Juta utca, for the smart future utilization of which there is a plan with a valid building permit.
The building, with its harmoniously articulated mass, varied heights and ribbon motifs enhanced with color contrast, represents a unique architectural solution compared to traditional office buildings. On the 1st floor, there is a block of rent offices, then up to the 5th floor the NEXON staff workplaces, and on the 6-7th floors the management offices can be found. The office building has a useful floor-space of 5,700 m2 with a garage on the basement level. Due to the site conditions, the car parks were placed to a narrow and oblong area parallel to Juta utca. Above the south entrance a glass canopy was made. On top of the main building’s roof and three lower wings there are pleasantly designed roof terraces for recreational use by the employees working inside. In addition, the floor plan of the building is adapted to different and changing needs, including several enclosed corners or recesses for relaxation and face-to-face meetings.
The NEXON office building is important not only for its architectural values, but also because it sets an example for Hungarian businesses that can be and should be followed in terms of commitment to quality, independence and self-esteem.
